Mission Travel Information
Once you have been notified that you have been selected as a participant for the 2024 trip, you need to arrange your travel. Expect to receive confirmation via email from the Mission Team Coordinators in January 2024. Once you are a confirmed participant and receive the email saying to go ahead and book travel -please get your flights as soon as possible!
You may choose to book your own flights – if you do – please select a flight that arrives not later than Noon CST on Saturday May 18th and departs AFTER 12:30pm CST on Friday, May 24. We are flying into Comayagua/Palmerola (airport code XPL). USE THE AIRPORT CODE XPL TO BOOK TRAVEL TO THE CORRECT PLACE.
You may use John Spellman at ASCOT Travel to purchase your tickets and insurance – but there is a small charge for his services! You are not required to use Ascot Travel, but is the easiest way to ensure you get the correct flights. There are also other travel agents people have used – if you need help booking your flights – contact a travel agent.
Baggage: CHECK YOUR TICKET AND CONFIRM WHAT YOUR CARRY ON AND/OR BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE IS for the ticket you have purchased. For those traveling from San Antonio/Austin, you will need to check a bag that will be used to bring Mission supplies to Honduras. This bag will be distributed to you at the airport the morning of the trip. You will need a carry-on allowance or a SECOND checked bag if you are flying from San Antonio/Austin. If you are traveling from another location, we MAY STILL NEED YOU TO BRING SUPPLIES WITH YOU. Plan on paying for a checked bag for Mission supplies AND either a carry-on or checked bag for your personal items. We also need people to bring the suitcases back. Please figure these costs into your budget.

PASSPORT NOTICE: You must have at least 6 months remaining on your passport past your date of completion of your trip. Please take a picture of your passport, and scan it to Ascot Travel.
TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
