Birthing Center
The modern birthing center-women’s hospital is one of the results of this powerful partnership and was dedicated in 2005. The facility provides a safe, clean, medical facility for the poor to deliver babies. Before this facility existed, laboring, poor women had no access to advanced child birth services and care. Improvements to the birthing center facilities continue with the installation of a misting system to protect mothers from mosquitoes that carry malaria and the dreaded Zika virus and in 2017, an updated bathroom and shower facility for patients and family members was completed.
